Git Now Live

Just a quick update. I have created a Github repository (or more accurately will become a collection of repositories over time) to make material more accessible to others.

The ‘debut’ project if you like, is the main board of the 5th Generation iPod Video. This has been created as a KiCad project in the spirit of maintaining use of open source tools as much as possible. The project source is here, PDF schematics are here, and there is also an OpenBoardView file here to facilitate repairs. The repo also includes a STEP model for use in mechanical designs and modelling. Accuracy is however not guaranteed due to the nature of photographic positioning of parts and definition of board outline.

All reference/source material used while reverse engineering this board is provided in the /DOC directory. The schematics are also liberally annotated.
